  • The history of Native American people in Illinois will be presented, along with information about how they were dependent upon nature. Classroom activities will be provided, and CPDUs are available for teachers in this ENTICE (Environment and Nature Training Institute for Conservation Education) workshop from the IDNR Division of Education, Dickson Mounds Museum and the Illinois State Museum.

Information about butterfly life history, conservation and adaptations will be presented. We’ll discuss developing butterfly habitat on the school grounds and the pros and cons of raising butterflies in the classroom, too.
